ATV and Minibike: When an insurance company pays a total loss settlement due to damage on an ATV or Minibike, and the condition of the ATV or Minibike meets the statutory definition of salvage in the State of Nebraska, the insurance company if they take possession of the vehicle, or the owner if they choose to retain the vehicle, must obtain a Salvage branded Certificate of Title.

Motor Vehicle: When an insurance company pays a total loss settlement due to damage on a motor vehicle, and the condition of the vehicle meets the statutory definition of salvage in the State of Nebraska, the insurance company if they take possession of the vehicle, or the owner if they choose to retain the vehicle, must obtain a Salvage branded Certificate of Title.

Insurance Company Affidavit for Affirmation of Ownership of a Salvaged Vehicle Obtained in Settlement of a Total Loss: When an insurance company is unable to obtain the certificate of title for a salvage vehicle for which their insured has accepted settlement of a total loss.

Motor Vehicle Auction Dealer Affidavit for Affirmation of Ownership of a Salvage or Donated Vehicle:  When a motor vehicle auction dealer licensed by the Motor Vehicle Industry Licensing Board has taken possession of a salvage (possession due to a total loss settlement or purchase of a salvage vehicle) or donated vehicle (possession after donation to a non-profit organization) and the previous owner fails to provide the certificate of title to the insurance company, non-profit organization, or auction.
