To obtain a Certificate of Title for a leased vehicle, the following documents must be submitted to the County Treasurer:
- a Certificate of Title or Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO), properly assigned
- an Application for Certificate of Title
- a signed copy of the current lease agreement
- $10.00 titling fee – Please contact the County Treasurer for information regarding acceptable methods of payment. Refer to the County Officials Listing for contact information
Certificates of Title issued for leased vehicles are not branded with the term “Leased”. They are, however, issued with the name and address of the Lessor (leasing company) as the titled owner of the vehicle and mailed to the Lessor(s) upon issuance.
The Lessee(s) (individual(s) leasing the vehicle) is provided with a copy of the title designated “Registration Copy” for registration purposes.
