How do I get a medical hardship permit?

The Medical Hardship Driving Permit (MHP) is authorized by Nebraska State Statute 60-4,130.01 and it allows a MHP for individuals who have forfeited their regular driving privileges under the Nebraska Point System. The MHP is valid for 90 days, at the expiration of the permit, the driver may reapply for another permit in the same manner. 

How do I apply for a learner's permit?

The Learner's Permit (LPD) is issued to allow a person to legally practice driving for a Provisional Operator’s Permit (POP), Operator’s (Class O) or Motorcycle (Class M) License. Learner's Permit holders must be accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least 21 years old. View the Learner's Permit (LPD) page for additional application details.

How do I apply for a handicap parking permit or plates?

Handicapped Parking Permits 

Permits are available at no charge to all individuals who qualify. To qualify, the applicant must have a certified medical condition that limits personal mobility resulting in the applicant's inability to travel more than two hundred feet without assistance such as a wheel chair, crutch, walker, prosthetic or other device.  

Handicap Plates

To obtain Handicapped License plates in the State of Nebraska, the handicapped individual must have a certified medical condition that limits personal mobility resulting in the applicant's inability to travel unassisted more than two hundred feet without assistance such as a wheel chair, crutch, walker, prosthetic or other device.
